Help
Everything you need to know to work with EquiCourse.
Building a course
In the Builder drag obstacles into the arena. You can move jumps, rotate them and change their type and height in the selected-jump panel. Everything is stored locally in your browser until you save the course to your account.
Saving courses
The "Save course" button stores the design in your account. You can find it anytime in the My courses section and keep editing it.
Export
Both the course and the obstacle list can be exported to PNG or PDF for printing and sharing outside the app.
Complete Builder guide
Everything the Builder can do and how to use each feature.
Arena setup
At the top of the panel you choose the arena dimensions (e.g. 15 × 35 m) from preset sizes or enter your own width and length. You can also set the default obstacle height in centimetres.
Adding obstacles
In the palette choose an obstacle type (vertical, oxer, ascending/descending oxer, double, triple…) and click into the arena to place it. Each obstacle is numbered automatically.
Moving and rotating
Select an obstacle by clicking and drag it to the desired place. In the selected-jump panel you can rotate it to any angle and switch the direction of oxers (ascending/descending).
Doubles and triples
Build doubles and triples from any jump types – individual elements are labelled with letters (8A, 8B, 8C). One click selects the whole combination, a quick double-click selects just one jump. The type of each element can be changed and the change shows immediately in the arena.
Changing type and height
For a selected jump you can change the obstacle type and its height at any time. Changes are reflected immediately in the sketch and in the obstacle list.
Measuring distances
The ruler tool measures distances between obstacles – as a straight line, an arc or a free curve. The measured lines stay in the sketch and help you plan canter strides.
Labels and notes
You can add text labels into the arena and write notes for the whole course (e.g. recommended pace or building instructions).
Start and finish
Place the entry and exit gates (start and finish). Distances from the start are only calculated in the obstacle list once the start is placed.
Zoom and undo
Zoom the sketch in and out with the magnifier buttons. Undo your last action with the Undo button.
Deleting
Remove a selected obstacle, or clear the whole arena with the "Delete all" button and start over.
Export and saving
Export the finished course and the obstacle list to PNG or PDF and save it to your account with the "Save course" button.
Loading saved courses
Open saved courses in the My courses section. Note: if you have an unsaved course in progress, the app will ask before loading another one so you don't lose your work.
